Compensation for Road Schemes
Julian Wilkins & Co. Chartered Surveyors are advising and negotiating compensation on various compulsory purchase and compensation matters relating to the A259 improvement works in Angmering and Littlehampton and the forthcoming A27 Arundel bypass.
If your property is located on or adjacent to a new or improved road scheme then you may be entitled to compensation.
If all or part of your property is likely to be purchased via compulsory purchase then we are able to assist. We can undertake the necessary valuation and negotiation on your behalf.
Furthermore, Part 1 of the 1973 Land Compensation Act provides for compensation to be paid to house owners who’s property is near a scheme when the house value is reduced by certain physical factors following the opening of the road. Such factors include noise, vibration, smell, fumes and artificial light.
In all cases the relevant authority, Highways England or the County Council, will be responsible for your professional costs in pursuing a justifiable claim so you do not have to pay our fees and our fees do not impact upon any compensation payment. You will always receive your compensation payment in full.
If you think you might be affected by the above or any other road schemes please call or email us for an initial no obligation consultation regarding your potential case.
