Stamp Duty Savings & Surveys
Today the Chancellor announced the extension of the stamp duty holiday for home buyers. With the opportunity to make tax savings of up to £15,000 since last July, many people have chosen to purchase a new home.
There was concern that many sales in progress would not be able to meet the original 31st March deadline for the saving and many buyers and sellers will be relieved at being given more time to complete their property transaction with the stamp duty saving in place.
Here at Julian Wilkins & Co. Chartered Surveyors we have undertaken Building Surveys and HomeBuyers Surveys for many clients who have been spurred onto move due to the offering of the significant tax saving. Buying a property at the current time with the current coronavirus restrictions in place can be daunting with many things to consider. Our surveyors use PPE and we have stringent health and safety protocols in place so that our clients and the vendors of properties we carry out surveys in can be sure that strict health and safety measures are employed without affecting the comprehensiveness of the property survey.
If you are looking for a pre-purchase property survey, the RICS HomeBuyer Survey and RICS Building Survey services that we offer will help you gain a comprehensive picture of the condition of the property so you can be confident in being aware of any defects or issues with the property and their seriousness. Our survey inspections are thorough and our reports are detailed and clear. If you are looking for a Chartered Surveyor to undertake a survey on a property you are looking to buy then you can find out more about our RICS survey services here or you can call us on 01903 872 211.
